ON-LINE CRIMINAL DEBT PAYMENTS:  The District of South Dakota is now accepting criminal debt
payments on-line through Pay.gov.  Defendants can make one-time payments using ACH, debit cards,
and PayPal.  Defendants can also set up recurring payments using ACH.  (ACH payments are pulled
directly from a bank account.)

To make a payment, click on the Criminal Payments button in the center of the District Court’s
website located at www.sdd.uscourts.gov.  Access the South Dakota Criminal Debt Form by clicking on
the Pay.gov logo.  Otherwise, go to the Pay.gov website located at www.Pay.gov and enter “South
Dakota Criminal Debt” in the search box to access the South Dakota Criminal Debt Form.  Complete a
payment by entering the required information in the form.

CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING:  If you have considered applying for admission to the bar of another
U.S. District Court, you may be asked to provide a Certificate of Good Standing.  You can request a
certificate from this district court by contacting the Clerk’s Office by phone, letter, or in
person.  A Certificate of Good Standing will include the attorney’s full name, date of admission to
this district court’s bar, date of certification by the clerk of court, the name of the clerk of
court, a deputy clerk’s signature, and the district court’s seal.  The fee for preparing a
Certificate of Good Standing is $19.
