Criminal Debt Payments

Criminal debt payment can be made online either by Pay.gov or by Online Bill Pay.

For Pay.gov, click on the Pay.gov emblem or visit. Pay.gov and search for South Dakota Criminal Debt.  You can make one-time payments using checking or savings accounts (ACH), debit cards or Paypal.  Recurring payments can be set up using ACH.

Online Bill Payment is available through most major banks.  Just sign into your bank’s website and add USDC SOUTH DAKOTA as a biller.  You can also set up recurring payments through your bank’s online bill payment system, when applicable.  See instructions below.

If you are unable to make payments online via Pay.gov or Online Bill Payment via your bank, you may make payments by:

Cash
Personal check
Certified check
Money order 
Debit card 

If you pay by personal check, it will be converted to an EFT.  The debit from your account will usually occur within 24 hours.

Unless otherwise instructed by your probation officer, payments should be made payable to the Clerk, US District Court and mailed to:

To make a debit card payment other than via Pay.gov, call the Clerk of Court at 605-330-6600.

Please be advised that any returned payment is subject to a $53 fee.
