Fee Increases. The cost of filing a civil complaint will increase next month. It’s one of several fees impacted by changes to the District Court Miscellaneous Fee Schedule that go into effect December 1st. The current civil filing fee is $402, which consists of a $350 statutory filing fee and a $52 administrative fee. The administrative fee increases to $55, raising the civil filing fee to $405. The filing fee for a miscellaneous case is also increasing from $49 to $52. Certification fees, exemplification fees and name search fees are also increasing. In addition, the District is raising the pro hac vice fee to $200 effective December 1st.

Reminder. The Court will be closed tomorrow, November 10th in observance of Veteran’s Day and on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th for Thanksgiving.
